Blending professional and community art, Bedlam engages the community in boundary-pushing performing arts.

As a radical theatre founded in 1993, Bedlam challenges its audiences with cutting-edge productions, while also evolving notions of organizational structure.

Bedlam’s work and venue create a “social hub” for the West Bank and the broader metropolitan region.

Our work will develop robust learning networks and resources that support individual artists, artist-led organizations, state arts agencies, regional arts councils, and the capacity-building field locally and nationally. We will:

Increase the pool of mature and engaged leadership ready to meet the demands of the 21st century arts and culture sector;

Build the resilience and strengthen the presence and leadership of visionary arts organizations within their community and region;

Demonstrate the power of the arts to enhance community vitality and engagement.
